Ms. Cherrylene G. GiradoMs. Girado is a Registered Social Worker (RSW). In 1999 she graduated from Bicol University as an outstanding student of Social Work. She has 9 years experience in the field of children, women, family and migration. She began her career in an NGO protecting children victims of all types of abuse and exploitation. She has been working with Atikha for 6 years. She leads in the implementation of the school-based program for children of OFWs of Atikha.

Cherrylene Girado helped in the research and module development of Atikha and contributed the articles on “Savings Consciousness, Disavowing Materialism and Consumerism“, “Gender Sensitivity and the Feminization of Migration” and “The Unquantified Cost of Leaving Home” for the following books published by Atikha: Children’s Response to the Challenge of Migration: Trainors’ Training Manual and “Ang Migrasyong Pilipino: Mga Kaugnay na Kahalagahan at Kagalingang Dapat Malinang sa Kabataan: Teksto at Banghay Aralin” and “Coming Home, Migration and Reintegration: A Trainers’ Training Manual on Financial Planning and Addressing Barriers to Reintegration for OFWs and their Families”. She is the lead trainer of Atikha’s Financial Literacy and Psychosocial Intervention Seminar for Overseas Filipinos, Seafarers and their families for the last 4 years.
