Teachers Training on Setting up Programs for Children of Migrants

Atikha provides an intensive 7 days training for teachers to be able to conduct the information, value formation and capacity building trainings for children of Migrants. Teachers Training manual was developed to guide the teachers in the conduct of the training.

Information Education and Capacity Building for Children of Migrants

The information and education activities developed for children of migrants include topics on: understanding migration realities of parents abroad, positive and negative effects of migration, savings consciousness, addressing communication gap, peer counseling, young entrepreneurship, leadership, gender sensitivity and other issues to empower children to respond to the challenge of migration.

Integrating Migration Issues in the Elementary and Secondary Curriculum

Atikha developed lesson plans and reference materials in partnership with the Department of Education in Laguna in integrating migration issues and financial literacy in the elementary and secondary education.

Atikha conducts a 5-day Teachers Training Program in integrating migration issues and financial literacy in the curriculum targeting the top 20 labor sending provinces of the Philippines.
